More and more online marketers and business owners are seeing the light and recognizing the tremendous benefits of incorporating multimedia into their online marketing strategy. By using multimedia, you can also communicate better with people, specifically prospective customers, allowing you to get your point across much easier which all leads to one end result- MORE SALES!

There are many others benefits to speak of which include the following:

  1. Explain selling-points much more easily and clearly to captivate your potential buyer.
  2. Describe your product or service and the benefits of using it clearly and concisely.
  3. Video and Audio conveys PROFESSIONALISM and most importantly it provides you with something that is essential in any business- CREDIBILITY. With credibility, you can sell more of your product or service, build that sacred opt-in list much more quickly and convince visitors to click on a link to an affiliate program you are advertising.

Therefore, as an increasing number of online business owners and marketers recognize the competitive advantages of multimedia and its power as a communication vehicle, multimedia content will become an integral part of the web experience.

Making Money With Articles – Creating Attention Grabbing Headlines

Attention grabbing headlines will make or break your articles. Creating good quality, interesting headlines can sometimes be quite difficult. It is something everyone who writes articles regularly knows and has experienced. Headlines can make or break an article as it’s the first thing people see and is often all they will read before making the decision to read on or move on. No matter how brilliant the content of your article, no matter how groundbreaking or important, if your readers don’t like your headline, your article will remain in oblivion.

Headlines Are Powerful.

Think about newspapers and magazines. Editors and journalists have mastered the art of creating attention grabbing headlines. Their profitability and staying power in the market depend on it. The difference between a great headline and a poor one can mean the difference in millions of copies sold.

Often it’s all a reader will see. They don’t have a summary to read to decide if the article is truly worth reading. Marketers and article writers often forget that the general reader is motivated to read an article just from the attention grabbing headline.

As you can clearly see, that means you need to spend time on creating a headline that motivates viewers enough to click on it to read your article. The problem you have as a writer is that there are thousands of competing headlines that also affect the success or failure of your own.

Create Your Headline Last.

It’s easy to write a headline before you start an article, or website copy, but this isn’t how professional copywriters tend to do it. You can do this, but when you’re finished writing the content, review it. Be quite prepared to change it. Reread your own article and see what is the most important part of your article or copy that you want your readers to know, then craft your headline around it.

You’ll also need to remember that when you are writing for the web, you have to consider the additional requirement of keywords because you want your article to be captured by search engines and rated well. So you have to write your headline for two very different audiences and at the same time, appeal well to both.

Take some time to come up with a few different headlines and work on them until it ‘feels right’. Professional copywriters often spend a great deal of time working on the headline, sometimes even more than they spend on the content. This is because they know that the attention grabbing headline is what sells the rest of the copy. The same applies to writing articles.

Use Emotions.

People are motivated by emotions. Newspaper editors rely on it to sell papers. Fear, pain and curiosity are motivators for people and can all be used successfully in headlines. If you are using fear or pain, state it in your headline. For example, “Are you being ridiculed by your friends for being overweight?” If you’re going to use this strategy, then offer a solution in the headline as well.

So, the above becomes, “Are you ridiculed by your friends for being overweight? Learn Ten Simple Tips To Lose Ten Pounds In Ten Days” or “Do You Know Where Your Kids Are Now? Five Ways To Discover If Your Kids Are Safe.” Consider which one you consider to be more attention grabbing.

Create Curiosity.

Curiosity is another good headline. Ask your readers a question and lead them into your article to answer it.

Don’t be afraid of a very long headline. Article headlines may be constrained in length if you are submitting your article to a directory. If it’s for your own blog, then it can be as long as it needs to be.

Create a few different headlines and be prepared to test them but record the results. Remember, great headlines create action and that is it’s purpose.
